Role Overview
The Freighter Loading Expert will support the safe and efficient handling of incoming and departing freighter aircraft at DWC. The role includes main deck loading and off-loading, equipment operations, safety monitoring, team coordination, and supporting aircraft turnaround activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Airside Loading Supervisor and other airport operations teams while following loading instructions, service-level requirements, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out loading and equipment-related activities for incoming and outgoing freighter flights.
- Lead main deck loading and off-loading operations according to approved loading instructions.
- Conduct safety briefings for team members before operational activities.
- Identify and address potential operational and safety risks.
- Ensure safety concerns are managed according to established procedures.
- Complete assigned activities within operational time requirements without compromising safety.
- Brief team members on operational requirements and allocate duties.
- Coordinate and monitor team activities during freighter turnaround operations.
- Support the effective use of ground support equipment and other operational resources.
- Maintain required quality, safety, and service standards throughout the operation.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates should meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Option 1 – High School
- High School Certificate with 12 years of schooling.
- 4–6 years of relevant ground handling experience.
Option 2 – Ground Handling Diploma
- Diploma in Ground Handling.
- 2–4 years of relevant ground handling experience.
Additional Requirements
- Valid UAE Driving Licence required for ADP eligibility.
- English language proficiency at Level 5.
- Relevant airport or ground handling operational experience.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
