Job Overview
As an Equipment Operator, you will handle the movement and processing of baggage, cargo, and mail while ensuring safe and efficient aircraft ground operations. The role includes both manual tasks and operating specialized Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) after proper training and authorization
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft
- Inspect cargo holds for damage, irregularities, or unidentified items
- Conduct routine equipment checks before and after use
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Comply with UAE regulations and Etihad Airport Services guidelines
- Report safety incidents, operational issues, or hazards
- Use handheld devices and operational tools as required
Requirements
