What Is a Cabin Services Assistant?
A Cabin Services Assistant (CSA) ensures world-class cleanliness, hygiene, and luxury onboard the Emirates A380. Unlike Cabin Crew, the CSA role focuses on:
- Shower Spa upkeep
- Cabin cleaning
- Amenity management
- Inventory handling
- Supporting premium passenger service
The CSA works under the supervision of the Purser or Senior Flight Steward (SFS) and supports all cabin classes — First, Business, and Economy.
Key Responsibilities of a Cabin Services Assistant
1. A380 Shower Spa Preparation & Hygiene
CSAs ensure First-Class guests enjoy a spotless, personalised shower spa experience by:
- Cleaning & preparing the Shower Spa after each use
- Refilling towels, amenities, and exclusive products
- Ensuring immaculate presentation (CSA Checklist)
- Personalising setup via the Shower Spa Reservation System
- Allowing entry only after preparation time is completed
2. Inventory & Product Control
- Conducting inflight inventory checks
- Ensuring adequate stock levels
- Neatly organising products
- Coordinating with Cabin Crew for replenishment
3. Maintaining Cabin & Lavatory Cleanliness
- Cleaning lavatories in all cabin classes
- Maintaining First & Business Class lounge areas
- Keeping seating zones tidy
- Maintaining cleanliness in social spaces
4. Safety & Reporting
- Reporting equipment issues
- Notifying Purser of unusual smells, sounds, or items
- Reporting abnormal passenger behaviour
- Protecting Emirates property and following safety protocols
5. Professionalism & Team Coordination
- Reporting on time
- Following grooming and uniform standards
- Respecting chain of command
- Completing tasks assigned by Purser or SFS
Qualifications Required
Educational Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent
Professional Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service (hotel, airline, or hospitality)
- Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus
Language Skills
- Fluency in English (spoken & written)
- Additional languages are an advantage
