Role Overview: Warehouse Receiving Clerk
The Warehouse Receiving Clerk – Restaurant Operations plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth back-of-house workflows. You will ensure all incoming goods are properly received, inspected, verified, and stored according to strict food safety and operational standards. By maintaining accurate documentation and organised storage, you help the restaurant teams deliver consistent quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying deliveries for quality, quantity, and condition
- Accurately recording received items in the inventory management system
- Flagging discrepancies, damaged goods, or incorrect quantities
- Labelling, organising, and storing products according to hygiene and safety rules
- Supporting FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation
- Maintaining clean, orderly, and compliant storage areas
- Assisting with weekly and monthly stock counts
- Coordinating with kitchen teams, purchasing departments, and suppliers
- Managing returns, replacements, and delivery-related paperwork
