Emirates Group is hiring a Junior Accountant – Revenue Recognition & Interline for its Dubai operations in 2026. This role is ideal for finance professionals with experience in revenue accounting, interline operations, and reconciliation within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Role Overview
The Junior Accountant will play a key role in managing and validating revenue-related financial transactions. This position focuses on revenue recognition, proration, interline accounting, tax exceptions, and reconciliation activities.
Accuracy, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential to support Emirates’ large-scale financial operations.
The role also involves processing financial entries, handling refunds, resolving system exceptions, and ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly—contributing directly to revenue accuracy and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Accounting Functions
- Process revenue accounting transactions, invoicing, reconciliations, and fare/refund audits
- Clear system exceptions in line with ISO and internal procedures
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist supervisors with month-end closing and ad-hoc finance tasks
Passenger Flown Revenue
- Modify fare construction strings in compliance with IATA standards
- Resolve proration exceptions using the RAPID system
- Validate ticket data, journey details, and tax calculations
- Conduct yield and fare checks to ensure system accuracy
Interline & Accounting Operations
- Reconcile sales, revenue clearing, and interline accounts
- Generate accounting entries for accruals, reversals, exchange differences, and adjustments
- Prepare invoices, billing memos, credit notes, and audit inward bills
- Raise rejections for discrepancies and follow approved finance procedures
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance or Insurance Accounts
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of revenue protection, ticketing, fare rules, and GDS systems
- IATA qualification will be an added advantage
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
